The Floating Frame

For this project, my clients requested a painting of a dark, gloomy landscape with vibrant colours to match their interior design. There was an unusual request however, which was to paint a fake frame around it seeing as they had wished to hang a wooden frame but were unable to due to extremely thick walls. This is my most convincing optical illusion to date! Fun fact: the fake frame took me longer to paint than the actual artwork inside. Completed in a week, May 2023.
