“This piece is a sister painting to the original mural I painted in January 2025. I wanted to create depth and have many different layers of activity within the painting for it to feel alive. Unlike the mural, I used dark/bold colours to make the viewer feel like they are witnessing the deepest parts of the ocean. This painting works beautifully alone, without a frame. I used the canvas itself to act as a ‘trompe-l’œil’ to create the illusion of a real window.”
