About the Painting:
“Drifting is a sister painting to my Best-Selling mural concept. Hot air balloons have always been a crowd favourite as there are so many ways to customise them and make them unique for each client. For this painting, I wanted to recreate the immersive experience of a mural by using the canvas to act as a ‘trompe-l’œil’. The illusion gives the viewer a real sensation of looking out their window to these drifting hot-air balloons. My favourite detail from the entire painting is the small sketchbook on the windowsill on which the artist (myself) is painting the view from their window. Little details such as this one are always so much fun and help the painting feel alive. Creating joy with my art is always my number 1 priority.”
